Paramus to Host Board of Education Candidates Night
Seven seek the three available seats on the Board of Education in this first-ever November school board election.

Paramus voters have the opportunity to meet the seven candidates running for the three available seats on the Board of Education at a candidates night set for Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
The candidates night will be conducted by the League of Women Voters who will provide a moderator for the session. The event will take place at the East Brook Middle School auditorium.
Incumbents Anthony Feorenzo Jr., the current board president, Bernadette McCausland and Frank Straka seek re-election. The challengers are Judith Abel, Usman Chaudhary, Alison Donoghue and Caroline Suh.

This is the first year school board election is being conducted in November. The Borough Council voted in February to move the school election to November, overriding a Board of Education resolution to keep the race in April.
Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 6. The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 16.
