Paramus Wrestlers Earn Honors

Nick Alpher was among nine Paramus High School wrestlers recognized by the Bergen County Coaches Association.

Alpher, who was the state runner-up at 145 pounds, earned first-team all-Bergen County honors at his weight class. The senior went 40-3 and was the first Spartan to reach the state final in 23  years (Mike Indorato in 1988).

Alpher and seven other Spartans were selected to the first team in the Big North Freedom Division:

103 pounds: Eric Giannantonio

112: Dan Melon

125: Tareq Abwini

130: Joe Rizzitello

140: Jimmy Seuss

189: Michael Sebahie

215: Lukas Sahdo

Mustafa Aslami (160) earned second team All-Big North Freedom honors.
