PHS Girls Basketball Team Eliminated from States
The Spartans were unable to recover from an early deficit to Northern Highlands in the second round of the North 1, Group 3 state tournament.

The girls basketball team took an exit from the North 1, Group 3 State Tournament after a loss to Northern Highlands (20-7) on Thursday night.
"A bad first quarter was the difference," head coach Vic DiPasquale said in reference to his squad falling behind 22-6 in the early going.
Behind Jackie Reyneke's 26 points and 22 rebounds and Tori Balzano's 20 points, the Highlanders defeated Paramus 62-44.

The Spartans (11-14) cut the lead to nine with 2:35 remaining. Brittany Stone scored 18 of her 22 points, including four treys, in the second half.
The Highlanders defeated Paramus 50-34 a month ago.
