Tom Eastwick first became involved with BRMC in 1997 when the hospital administrator at that time asked him to create a training program at the hospital for employees who were interested in becoming Certified Nurse Aides. In 2001, the program expanded to include training of Licensed Practical Nurses due to the great need for nurses in the region. With BRMC’s support, Eastwick College and the Ho Ho Kus Schools became the first proprietary school in New Jersey to be approved to teach nursing. In 2009, Eastwick College became the first and only private sector college in the state to offer a degree in nursing.
Currently, Eastwick is a trustee of the Foundation at Bergen Regional Medical Center and is involved in the project to renovate the chapel at Bergen Regional.
