WATCH LIVE: Marijuana Legalization Hearing
Testimony is being taken at the state Assembly Oversight, Reform, and Federal Relations Committee hearing at Bergen Community College.
PARAMUS, NJ — Testimony is being taken at a public hearing regarding the possible legalization of marijuana at Bergen Community College.
The Assembly Oversight, Reform, and Federal Relations Committee is taking testimony from invited speakers and the public. There are about 100 people in attendance.
Gov. Phil Murphy in March announced "major reforms" to New Jersey's medicinal marijuana program in March, including the addition of medical conditions, lowered patient, and caregiver fees and allowing dispensaries to add satellite locations. These reforms push the state closer toward legalization.
