2 Armed Robberies At Parsippany Gas Stations, Authorities Seek Answers: Prosecutor

A driver robbed two attendants at knifepoint Friday night, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A person committed armed robberies at two different gas stations Friday night in Parsippany, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Authorities are looking to identify and find the suspect.

The person robbed attendants within minutes of each other at two different Route 46 gas stations, according to the prosecutor's office. Law enforcement first received a report of a robbery at the Shell gas station on Route 46 East at 7:54 p.m. Friday.

A black or dark-gray BMW X5 stopped at the station, and the male driver asked for $25 in fuel, the prosecutor's office said. When the attendant turned their back, the driver pulled out a knife and demanded money, according to authorities. The drive fled eastbound on Route 46, officials said.

About 10 minutes later, a vehicle of the same description stopped at the Conoco station on Route 46 West, the prosecutor's office said. The male driver asked for his vehicle to get filled up. Then he walked up behind the attendant, displayed a knife and demanded money, authorities said.

He then fled west on Route 46, according to law enforcement.

The prosecutor's office described the suspect as a Black male, with possibly short facial hair, wearing a black jacket, black pants, possibly black gloves and a black facemask with hat.
