2 Halloween Events In Parsippany (Besides Trick-Or-Treating)

PARSIPPANY, NJ — For some, one day of Halloween isn't enough. But luckily for the holiday's most devoted fans around Parsippany, there are plenty of ways to get festive.

Here are two Halloween events taking place around Parsippany, besides traditional trick-or-treating.

Halloween at the Hills

5-7 p.m. Oct. 28, Parsippany Hills High School

The annual tradition features a night of fun and safe trick-or-treating. Parsippany Hills High School's Interact Club will collect non-perishable goods to help restock the Interfaith Food Pantry. Organizers encouraged people to bring a canned good.

Collection will take place in the cafeteria, as you enter.

Trunk or Treat

5-7 p.m. Oct. 31, Veterans Memorial Park

Trunk-or-treating is pretty simple. Instead of going from home to home, children collect candy from vehicles that are often festively decorated. It's often regarded as a safer alternative to trick-or-treating and has grown in popularity around the nation in recent years.

Parsippany's event has no admission fee. But each child attending must supply a bag of factory-sealed candy in a factory-sealed bag, or non-food treats. The township called on residents, organizations and businesses to attend with decorated vehicles and help make the event a success for the children.
