2 Hospitalized After Kitchen Fire In Parsippany
The fire was small, but 1 victim sustained 'extensive burns,' according to Mount Tabor officials.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — A fire inside a Parsippany home left two people hospitalized. But the Tuesday morning fire was small, and the damage was minimal, according to the Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department.
Several first-responding agencies were dispatched at 10:33 a.m. Tuesday for a reported kitchen fire with burn victims at 52 Averill Dr. The fire wasn't visible when first responders arrived, but both individuals required treatment for burns.
Officials flew a victim with "extensive burns" to the hospital. The second person was evaluated and then also transported to the hospital.

The Parsippany Police Department is leading an ongoing investigation.
Responding agencies also included the Morris Plains, Cedar Knolls and Boonton fire departments; Par-Troy EMS; the Morris County Office of Emergency Management; and the Morris County Sheriff's Office.
