PARSIPPANY, NJ — A truly perfect steak is rare. Some might also say it's medium or well-done. However you like your cuts of meat, you have some good choices for steaks in Parsippany, according to New Jersey Monthly.

The publication released its list of the top 20 steakhouses in the Garden State. New Jersey Monthly included two Parsippany restaurants in the upper echelon of eateries: The Capital Grille and Ruth's Chris Steak House.

Ruth's Chris has more than 100 steakhouses across the United States — along with Canada, Mexico, Aruba and several nations in Asia. But New Jersey Monthly visited the Parsippany location.

"Most cuts are wet aged, a process pioneered by the brand, which was founded in 1965 in New Orleans," wrote K.T. Harrison. "Steaks are cooked precisely to your desired doneness in an 1800 (degree) infrared broiler and served a-sizzling in butter on a 500-degree plate."

The Capital Grille has about 60 restaurants, including its New Jersey locations in Parsippany, Paramus and Cherry Hill. Most of the steaks are Prime Angus, grass-fed, lightly marbled and fired in an 1,800 degree oven, according to New Jersey Monthly.
