PARSIPPANY, NJ — Halal Nashville-style hot chicken, a Morris County pizza chain and a new salon opened recently in Parsippany. Here are three new businesses to check out.

A few years ago, Birdies founders Moon and Sara searched for the freshest, most flavorful and juiciest chicken in the tri-state area. They thought they could do better, so they opened Birdies Hot Chicken in Brooklyn last August.

The halal hot chicken joint recently opened its second location in Parsippany. Their menu includes a staple "Bird In A Bun" — a Nashville-style hot chicken in a brioche bun with crispy pickles, coleslaw and Birdies' special sauce. But patrons can also get signature fries, "tendies" and more.

The Godfather of Parsippany

The Godfather has been around Morris County since 1975, with pizzerias in Morristown and East Hanover. Now welcome, The Godfather Part III, with the business opening its third location in Parsippany.

Malan Salon & MedSpa

281 Littleton Rd.

Malan Salon celebrated its grand opening March 20. The salon's services include hair, makeup and waxing, plus a wide array of products.

The business also has an award-winning location in Boonton.
