3K Without Power, Route 46 Closed As NJ Storm Cleanup Continues
Storms ripped through New Jersey on Friday, closing a major highway and leaving 3,000 still without power on Saturday.

Storms ripped through Morris County and other parts of New Jersey on Friday, leaving a major highway closed and 3,000 still without power on Saturday.
Downed trees and wires were reported throughout Morris County, where more than 7,000 were without power on Saturday. Some trees crashed into cars.
Flooding on Route 46 closed the road in both directions in Parsippany. Flooding was reported throughout the county and other areas of North Jersey, and one family captured flooding in Scotch Plains (see photos and video below).

More of the outages, 649, were in Chester Township on Saturday.

- US 46 : Flooding on US 46 in both directions East of I-287 in Parsippany-Troy Hills Twp. All lanes closed and detoured.
- NJ 29: Downed tree on NJ 29 northbound south of Kingwood Station-Barbertown Rd in Kingwood Twp. All lanes closed 5 minute delay.
- Garden State Parkway: Accident with property Damage on the Garden State Parkway northbound North of Exit 69 - CR 532/Waretown Rd in Ocean Twp. All lanes open to traffic.
- New Jersey Turnpike: Accident on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound north of Delaware Memorial Bridge in Pennsville Twp. Left shoulder in the grass.
- US 9; Accident and a Sowned pole on US 9 in both directions North of NJ 88 in Lakewood Twp. All lanes closed.
- NJ 124: Downed pole and downed wires on NJ 124 in both directions Lakeview Ave in Millburn Twp. All lanes closed and detoured.
