New Jersey Towns Among Best Places To Live In America, Money Magazine Says
Four New Jersey towns made Money Magazine's top-100 best places to live list (all in the top 50). Here's why.

New Jersey once again offers at least a few places that could be among the best places to raise a child, work, exercise and enjoy life.
Money Magazine says these four towns are among the 100 best places to live in America. Indeed, all four are among the top 50 on the publication's list.
The editors noted that choosing where to live is an important decision, "one that influences your life in every way." The publication gathered 170,000 data points from about 2,400 places.

Money eliminated any place that had more than double the national crime risk, less than 85 percent of its state’s median household income or a lack of ethnic diversity. "This gave us 2,400 places," the magazine said.

For the first time, the publication partnered with Realtor.com as a way to leverage its "rich data" and understanding of every housing market in the country.
Here are the New Jersey towns on the list:
- #8 North Arlington: "For those wanting a small-town feel while still enjoying the perks of a big city, North Arlington delivers. Located less than 15 miles from New York City’s financial district, this spot gives commuters an ideal home base, with excellent schools and low crime."
- #24 Saddle Brook: "Drive too quickly and you just might miss Saddle Brook, a suburban community in Bergen County. Less than three square miles, the tiny hamlet offers easy access to Manhattan, but has a distinctly small-town feel: The town website, for instance, lists community movie nights, New York Mets game outings, and a 'Walk with the Mayor' fitness promotion."
- #33 Parsippany-Troy Hills: "Just 35 miles away from New York, Parsippany-Troy Hills sits within a scenic network of rivers and streams—and job opportunity. Unemployment is low, and many major corporations are headquartered here, including Actavis, Jackson Hewitt, and Wyndham Worldwide."
- #36 Clifton: "You might recognize Clifton from its on-screen appearances—maybe you’ve caught it in The Sopranos, or seen it in the Johnny Depp film Donnie Brasco. The town has more recently been in headlines as home to the nation’s best hot dog. But beyond the pop culture tie-ins, Clifton also offers a winning mix of affordability and access."
