PARSIPPANY, NJ — A hotel and a bank in Parsippany have announced they will be laying off several dozen employees before the summer is through.
Embassy Suites By Hilton in Parsippany, located at 909 Parsippany Boulevard, has announced it will be laying off 54 employees, according to the latest Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications (WARN) report.
The hotel, which has nearly 300 rooms, says the 54 employees will be laid off by August 14.
Additionally, Fulton Bank is cutting nearly 100 jobs in Parsippany, following its $243 million acquisition of Blue Foundry Bank.
According to the WARN report, Fulton Bank will cut 95 employees in the coming months. Some of the layoffs will go into effect on July 31, and others in effect by Oct. 2.
Another Morris County company that announced layoffs in May was Barclays Whippany Investment Bank, which is letting go of 64 employees between August and September.

Layoffs continued to rise across New Jersey in the first quarter of 2026, with employers announcing nearly 4,800 cuts through the end of March, a 30.7 percent increase over the first quarter of 2025.
The 4,785 layoffs include nearly 1,000 announced in March, with banking companies JP Morgan Chase, UBS, and Fiserv leading the list of employers making cuts.
There were 3,660 layoffs in the first three months of 2025, according to New Jersey's database that tracks WARN notifications.
