PARSIPPANY, NJ — A Parsippany home was damaged severely in a fire recently, according to officials.
On May 6, authorities were called to a one-story home in Lake Hiawatha that had caught fire.
Several neighboring fire crews responded to the blaze, which took around two hours to extinguish, officials said.
A search of the home found no occupants inside, officials added. No injuries were reported in the incident.
In an attempt to alleviate smoke and flame buildup in the home, crews broke a hole in the home’s roof.
Responding were Parsippany Fire Districts 4 and 5, the Boonton Fire Department RIC, Parsippany's Rockaway Neck Volunteer First Aid Squad, Par-Troy EMS, and Parsippany Police Department. Providing station coverage was the Rainbow Lakes Volunteer Fire Company and Pine Brook Volunteer Fire Department.
