PARSIPPANY, NJ — Parsippany is inviting residents to attend this year’s Memorial Day Ceremony and annual parade on Monday, May 25. The township said the day will begin with a 10 a.m. ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park, followed by the township’s Annual Memorial Day Parade later in the day.

The parade will proceed down Littleton Road, also known as Route 202, starting at Sylvan Way and ending at Rita Drive, according to the township. The township said several road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect to accommodate the event and manage traffic along the route.

Sylvan Way will be closed between Littleton Road and Dryden Way at approximately 10:30 a.m. for registration and parade staging, according to the police. At approximately 11:30 a.m., Littleton Road between Campus Drive and Park Road will be closed to all traffic. The township said the parade will begin at 12 p.m., and roads are expected to reopen around 2 p.m.

The township said no-parking zones will be established in the area during the event. Residents and visitors are being asked to obey posted signage when parking.

The township thanked the public for its cooperation and encouraged residents to attend the parade. The event notice states, “We thank you for your cooperation and hope you’ll join us at this year’s Memorial Day Parade!”
