PARSIPPANY, NJ — Downed wires on Route 46 In Parsippany have prompted a significant response from crews and potentially hours of closures, police say.
Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, police announced that Route 46 Cherry Hill Road and Waterview Boulevard would be closed due to a downed wire.
An update at 10 a.m. said the road closure would last five to seven hours. The road could be shut down in both directions until 5 p.m. Tuesday, police say.
Authorities said that detours have been put in place, and drivers should expect delays well into Tuesday afternoon.
