PARSIPPANY, NJ — The community is mourning the loss of a 21-year-old man who was recently killed in a motorcycle crash in South Carolina.

Authorities learned that Pablo Marcelo Caballero Molina, 21, originally from Parsippany, was driving a motorcycle at a "high rate of speed" before slamming into a concrete barrier and being thrown from the bike.

Molina, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he received in the accident, authorities said.

Before joining the Air Force and moving to Hopkins, South Carolina, Molina worked at Café Crevier in Denville, according to restaurant representatives.

A GoFundMe launched to support Molina's family called him "more than an employee," adding that he was loved like a little brother.

"Pablo recently made the brave decision to serve our country and joined the Air Force," the fundraiser reads. "He was so proud of this next chapter in his life, and everyone around him was proud of him too. He had such a big future ahead of him and touched so many lives with his kindness, loyalty, humor, and heart."

The GoFundMe proceeds will support Molina's family with funeral expenses, memorial costs, and "anything else they may need in the difficult days ahead."

The fundraiser has raised more than $7,000 as of Tuesday morning. Click here to donate.
