Police say the woman's car crossed into oncoming traffic, and the crash remains under investigation as loved ones remember the victim's devotion to family, education, and animals.
• Three Parsippany Students Named 2027 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists (tapinto.net) — Three seniors from the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District have been named 2027 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, representing Parsippany Hills and Parsippany High School. Their top PSAT scores place them among less than one percent of U.S. seniors. They now move on to compete for part of nearly $24 million in scholarships to be awarded next spring.
• Parsippany Hills and Pope John play to double OT draw (nj.com subscription) — Parsippany Hills boys soccer battled Pope John to a 2-2 double-overtime draw, with Gavin Quirk and Owusu Agyekum providing the Vikings' goals and Emanuel Castellanos making key saves. Played Wednesday in Sparta, the evenly matched contest saw both teams register six shots on goal and showcased Parsippany Hills' resilience after falling behind early.
