PARSIPPANY, NJ — One of Parsippany's newest hotels and restaurants is seeking sleuths to solve a murder mystery next month.
The Hotel Troy is partnering with the Shark Tank-featured Murder Mystery Company to put on an interactive dinner show where guests work together to solve a fake murder in the hotel.
In addition to participating in the game, guests get to enjoy a three-course meal.
Tickets are available online here, and the shows begin on Oct. 24, just in time for the spooky season.
"If you've been waiting for an excuse to check us out, this is it. Completely immersive, hilarious, and unlike any dinner out you've had," a Murder Mystery Company statement read. "Who knows… you might even find yourself a suspect in the mystery."
The show runs for roughly two-and-a-half hours, including dinner.
The Hotel Troy
The Hotel Troy, now marketed as Hotel Troy, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, is a newly opened boutique hotel at 8 Wood Hollow Road in Parsippany.
The property is one of Parsippany's recent office-to-hotel conversions. The roughly 50,700-square-foot former office building was converted into a 101-room boutique hotel.
The hotel project received zoning approval in 2019, although its development and opening came later. In late 2025, Parsippany awarded a new hotel/motel liquor license for the property to Origini Ristorante LLC, which operates its food-and-beverage services. The Township Council formally approved the license in December 2025.
Its on-site restaurant is Troy Social Restaurant & Bar, which describes itself as an upscale American restaurant geared toward business lunches, meetings, and social gatherings. It serves items including pasta, seafood, and chicken dishes along with cocktails.
