PARSIPPANY, NJ — A Parsippany man was charged recently after hucking dog feces into a woman's car, according to police.
Anthony Nigro, 42, faces criminal mischief charges following an investigation into the incident.
On July 31, Hanover police were called to the parking lot of BJ's, where a woman reported feces in her car.
Authorities learned that the woman's "young" service dog had unexpectedly defecated in nearby mulch, and she went inside the store to get a bag and clean it up.
When she returned, she found that the feces had been thrown around in the interior of her car, police said. Authorities added it caused roughly $500 worth of damage to the car.
BJ's management provided a possible suspect from surveillance video, but it took Hanover police until Sept. 15 to positively identify Nigro as the suspect.
Nigro was mailed a complaint with a court date listed for his appearance after he refused to drive to police headquarters.
