Incumbents Lead Parsippany School Board Race: Results

Seven candidates competed for three seats on the Parsippany BOE, with fewer than 600 votes separating the third- and fourth-place finishers.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Three candidates have emerged as the apparent winners of a crowded Parsippany school board election, where seven candidates battled for just three available seats Tuesday.

According to unofficial results from the Morris County Clerk's Office, incumbents Wendy Wright, Nicole Dellafave and Timothy Berrios secured the most votes in the seven-way contest.

Wright led the field with 6,981 votes, followed closely by Dellafave with 6,828 votes — a difference of just 153 votes.

Berrios finished third with 5,690 votes, putting him in position to claim the final available seat.

However, the race for that third seat was considerably tighter than the gap between the top two finishers and the rest of the field.

Jaya Trivedi finished fourth with 5,096 votes, just 594 votes behind Berrios. Trivikrama Reddy followed with 4,119 votes, while Akshay Pujara received 3,809 votes. Jack Raia finished with 2,881 votes.

The unofficial results are as follows:

The election featured several competing groups of candidates, including Trivedi, Reddy and Pujara, who ran together, and Berrios and Raia, who also campaigned as a team. Wright and Dellafave ran independently.

Despite the crowded field, Wright and Dellafave finished comfortably ahead of the remaining candidates, while Berrios held a narrower lead over Trivedi for the third and final seat.

All results remain unofficial until certified by the Morris County Clerk's Office.
