Basement Fire Prompts Emergency Response In Parsippany
The basement, specifically a blazing bedroom in the basement, caused smoke to engulf the home's first floor, officials said.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — A fire at a Parsippany home prompted a multi-agency response this week.
On Monday, just before 8:30 a.m., fire department personnel were called to a residence on Sedgefield Drive on reports of a structure fire.
First responders discovered that the residence’s basement had caught fire. Specifically, a bedroom in the basement was ablaze.

All occupants were safely evacuated, and authorities were able to find the fire quickly and work to extinguish it.
Several entities responded to the fire, including the Cedar Knolls Fire Department, the Morris Plains Fire Department, and the Mount Taboor Volunteer Fire Department.
