During this day devoted to Makers, we invite you to bring a friend (or two 😊), invite your mom (Mother’s Day is May 11! 💐), or make it a self-care day for you and a pal. However you choose to spend it, we hope you'll roll up your sleeves and get crafty with Craftsman Farms at Maker Day!⁠

The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms is featuring three local professional artists, offering different crafts for Members and Not-Yet-Members to explore crafts and creativity in a fun afternoon. 🖌️🎨⁠

• 📚 Stab Bound Book Making and Letterpress Printed Cover with Artist Kath Yarkosky
  Take home a stab bound 5.5 x 8.5 book with a hand printed or stamped cover.
• 🥚🎨 Pysanky Egg Dying with Artist Wendy Hallstrom
  Learn traditional Ukrainian egg dying, also known as Pysanky.
• 🪨🌼 Ornamental Cement Sculpture with Artist Katie Truk
  Combine paper mache techniques with cement for a lasting outdoor lawn or garden sculpture.

💡 Between your creative pursuits, we'll also offer 'How It Was Made' Spotlight Talks on Museum Collections, highlighting the work of artists and craftspeople from the early twentieth century. Learn about the creative processes that went into producing objects in the Museum's Collections. 🏺🖋️ ⁠
