Coupons: Free Toothpaste-$1 Shampoo at Walgreens

Prices have gone up on everything, that’s not news. But, there are ways to save money on everyday things and it’s gotten so much easier with cell phones and apps.

Couponing used to mean getting the Sunday newspaper, cutting out paper squares, or printing them off your computer. This still exists and you can find out more through sites like Living Rich with Coupons. But, let’s do some quick and lazy digital deals together.

Walgreens often has great deals, and there’s one right on Baldwin Road in Parsippany. Here’s how to get those coupons, and a few deals that are good from July 3, 2022 to July 9, 2022. You can do all of the deals below or just select the ones you prefer.

1. Download the Walgreens app for your phone

2. Sign in to your account if you have one or create a new account if you need one.

You can do any or all of the following coupon deals:

1. Pantene hair conditioner or shampoo $1 per bottle
   1. Go to the phone app and click on “Shop and Savings”
   2. There are two main options - “products” and “savings” on the screen Select “savings.” While you are there, in “Available” coupons if you see a coupon for $5 off any $25 purchase, click it to add it to your card.
   3. Search “pantene” in coupons and add all the Pantene coupons to your card by clicking on the + icon, one of which is $5 off 3 bottles. If you find this confusing, search for “pantene shampoo,” find the products that should be marked $3.99 or $4 online and click on them then it should show you coupons that you can add - it should be the same coupons, just another way of finding them. Make sure you click on any that say $5 of 3 (if multiples get them all).
   4. Go into the store and get three Pantene shampoo or conditioners that are $4 each. Make sure you pick the ones that have tags that say $4 cash rewards on the tag.
   5. When you check out you will pay $4 x 3 bottles = $12 - the $5 digital coupon, so $7 for 3 bottles. You should get $4 cashback into your Walgreens account (works same as cash for the store), So you will have paid $3 for three bottles or $1 a bottle. You can use the Walgreens cash for buying the next transaction, or the next time you go into the store.

2. Free Crest toothpaste

1. Go to the phone app and click on “Shop and Savings”
2. Search “crest” in coupons and add all the Crest coupons to your card by clicking on the + icon, one of which is $5 off 3 toothpastes. If you find this confusing, search for “crest toothpaste,” find the ones marked $3 and click on them then it should show you coupons that you can add - it should be the same coupons, just another way of finding them. Make sure you select $5 off 3 coupon(s).
3. Go into the store and get three Crest toothpastes that are $3 each. Make sure you pick the ones that have tags that say $4 cash rewards on the tag.
4. When you check out you will pay $3 x 3 toothpastes = $9 - the $5 digital coupon, so $4 for 3 tubes. You should get cashback into your Walgreens account (works same as cash for the store for $4), So you will have paid nothing. You can use the Walgreens cash for buying the above or next transaction, or the next time you go into the store.

3. Free Colgate toothpaste

1. Go to the phone app and click on “Shop and Savings”
2. Search “colgate” in coupons and add all the Colgate coupons to your card by clicking on the + icon, one of which is $4 off 2 toothpastes. If you find this confusing, search for “colgate toothpaste,” find the ones marked $3.99 and click on them then it should show you coupons that you can add and one of them has to be the $4 off for this to work.
3. Go into the store and get three Colgate toothpastes that are $3.99 each. Make sure you pick the ones that have tags that say $4 cash rewards on the tag.
4. When you check out you will pay approximately $4 x 2 toothpastes = $8 - the $4 digital coupon, so $4 for 2 tubes. You should get $4 cashback into your Walgreens account (works same as cash for the store for $4), So you will have paid nothing. You can use the Walgreens cash for buying any of the above separate transactions, or the next time you go into the store.

Tips

You must enter your phone number at the register - it has to be the same as the one on your phone. And, it's a good idea to confirm your name with the cashier to ensure if there are multiple people on your account, they correctly have your information to ensure you get the digital coupons you selected.

Walgreens Cash - when you enter your phone number at the register, before you pay, it should ask you if you'd like to use your Walgreens cash when you have some in your account. I always use it when I have it available! You don't receive cash until you have completed a purchase that earns Walgreens cash, but once you do, it is available for your very next transaction (even on the same day, right after you just bought something).
