Twitter users, Democrats mocked Gov. Christie for forming a political action committee with the initials - sort of - of "LMFAO."

Gov. Chris Christie’s never one to mince words.

This time, it had to be unintentional.

Twitter users and Democrats took to the Internet to mock the initials of Christie’s new political action committee, Leadership Matters For America, that - combined with the .org suffice - has these initials:

LMFAO.

That’s “laugh my [insert two expletives] off.”

It’s a phrase that’s commonly used as a shortcut reaction to something really funny that’s said on the Internet. And that’s just where Christie’s detractors went to make hay of the situation.

The Democratic State Committee had this reaction:

Christie pretending he is qualified to be president kind of makes us want to laugh.

Sort of like the acronym for his PAC does.

LMFAO

Many would-be candidates form political action committees to start fundraising for potential presidential campaigns. Christie has not yet announced his intentions, but groups with ties to Hillary Clinton and other possible presidential opponents have targeted the New Jersey governor in social media and elsewhere.

And, of course, they seized on this moment.

American Bridge, an anti-Christie political group, photoshopped Christie into a picture with the group LMFAO (see the picture).
