Donald Trump's sister could help determine the fate of the Christie administration's role in Bridgegate - and perhaps the governor himself.
Maryanne Trump Barry sits on the the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and hears cases from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and the Virgin Islands - and that'll likely include the case involving the disclosure of unindicted co-conspirators in the Bridgegate matter.
Circuit Judge Thomas L. Ambro ruled Tuesday that an appeal by "John Doe," one of the unindicted co-conspirators, would be granted temporarily and stays "the public docketing of the list of unindicted co-conspirators," according to nj.com

The stay was granted, he wrote, so a full panel of Third Circuit appellate judges - perhaps including Barry - could determine the merits of the case, with a tight schedule of legal briefs to be filed beginning May 23 and oral arguments scheduled before the Third Circuit in Philadelphia June 6.
Gov. Chris Christie has become a chief ally of Trump since the governor dropped out of the presidential race several months ago, and the reality show billionaire became the presumptive GOP nominee for president.

Christie, meanwhile, has denied that he had any involvement in the Bridgegate case, which involved the illegal closure of lanes to the George Washington Bridge as part of a political payback scheme. Two people have been indicted and another has pleaded guilty in connection with the case.
U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton has previously ruled in favor of a group of news organizations that had sued the government to gain access to the list of people who allegedly know about the conspiracy but were no charged.
The list identifies Doe as an unindicted co-conspirator in the plot to close access lanes to the George Washington Bridge as an act of political retaliation against the Fort Lee mayor. The mayor had declined to endorse Gov. Chris Christie in his 2013 re-election big
Doe would suffer irreparable harm with the release of the list because the stigma of being associated with the alleged crime "can never be removed," according to attorneys for Doe.
David Wildstein, the Christie-appointed Port Authority official behind the Fort Lee Bridgegate traffic jam, pleaded guilty last year to two counts of conspiracy.
Former Christie aide Bridget Ann Kelly and Bill Baroni, another Christie appointee at the Port Authority, were also indicted in connection with the “Bridgegate” scandal, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Both have denied the charges against them.
Wildstein has admitted the scheme to close lanes at the George Washington Bridge, and create endless traffic jams over four successive mornings in the fall of 2013, was retribution to the Fort Lee mayor for not endorsing the governor’s re-election campaign, according the U.S. Attorneys Office.![]()
As a result of those admissions, Baroni and Kelly were each charged with nine counts in a scheme to misuse Port Authority resources to facilitate and conceal the cause of traffic problems in Fort Lee in September of 2013.
