Driver Extricated After 2-Vehicle Crash In Parsippany: Police

Officials took the victim to the hospital for minor injuries.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A pickup truck crashed into a Toyota Matrix on Wednesday afternoon in Parsippany, police said. Officials extricated the driver from the Matrix, but their injuries were minor, according to authorities.

The crash occurred at 3:24 p.m. Wednesday at Vail and North Beverwyck Roads. The driver of a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck ran a red light while traveling east on Vail Road, according to Parsippany Police Sgt. Brian Conover.

The pickup truck hit a 2009 Toyota Matrix, which sustained significant damage, police said. Fire and EMS units arrived, and officials removed the doors from the Matrix to remove the driver.

Officials took the victim to Morristown Medical Center for minor injuries. The pickup-truck driver received a ticket for running a red light.
