Former Parsippany Math Teacher, Volunteer Dies at 84
Doris Tylus was predeceased by her husband of 54 years.

Doris Tylus played in integral role in the lives of many Parsippany students.
The former teacher died recently at the age of 84, according to her obituary.
Tylus majored in elementary education at Trenton State College where she met her future husband, Joseph Tylus, of 54 years.

She was a remedial math teacher in Parsippany as well as Parent Teacher Association volunteer and president.
Tylus also spent time volunteering at St. Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church, the Brooklawn Association, and the Parsippany Library.

She is predeceased by her husband and survived by four children and ten grandchildren.
