Former Parsippany Woman, Nationally Recognized Teacher Dies
Hannah Keane spent more than 40 years teaching in Parsippany.

Hannah “Terry” Keane devoted much of her life to the education of others in Parsippany.
The former Parsippany resident died recently with her children by her side, according to her obituary.
Keane, a graduate of Keane University, taught in the Parsippany School District as well as at St. Christopher School in the township for more than 40 years.

In 1992, Keane was recognized as a “Who’s Who Among American Teachers,” the obituary said.
Keane is survived by her three children and five grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, John J. Keane Sr., who passed away in 2001.
