'Hamburglar' Sought in Attempted Robbery at Morris County Burger King

Man fled Denville location with no money after verbal exchange with restaurant employee, police report.

Local and state police are searching for a man who allegedly attempted to rob the Burger King on Main Street in Denville on Tuesday, June 23.

The suspect is being described as a male between age 30 and 40, 5’9” in height with a medium build, goatee, and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, New Jersey State Police said.

Around 6:55 p.m. the suspect walked into the restaurant and “verbally demanded money,” New Jersey State Police said. The victim told the suspect he would need keys from the office to open the register, and after a verbal exchange, the suspect left with no money.
