JCP&L To Trim Trees Around Parsippany In February

The work is meant to provide clear space for electrical wires and prevent outages.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Jersey Central Power & Light will trim trees to clear space for power lines beginning "on or about" February in Parsippany. The work is meant to reduce outages.

This will include the routine trimming of limbs to provide four years of clearance from electrical wires, along with the removal of limbs overhanging Sub Transmission lines.

"Experience has shown that regular, diligent and professional vegetation management practices assist in reducing the number of service problems and outages that customers experience," JCP&L's announcement says.
