LA Fitness Opens In Parsippany's Wegmans Plaza

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Wegmans plaza now has a gym again. LA Fitness opened Aug. 17, replacing 24 Hour Fitness, which closed last year.

The new gym at 30 Sylvan Way is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. Amenities include basketball, the sauna, indoor cycling and a whirlpool spa, according to the location webpage.

24 Hour Fitness filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year and closed 130 of its gyms, according to Business Insider. The closures included the Parsippany location.

LA Fitness — formed in 1984 in Irvine, California — has more than 700 gyms across the United States.
