Labor Day Weekend Carnival, Parade In Morris County
Several nearby activities will take place this weekend as the summer nears a close.

BOONTON, NJ — Summer's coming to a close, but there's still nearby family fun available. Boonton is among the New Jersey towns that get a little festive for Labor Day, holding a carnival and the town's Labor Day parade.
The Boonton Fire Department's carnival will run from Thursday through Sunday at Boonton High School. Wristbands cost $33 and can be purchased online.
Here are the hours for each carnival day:

- Thursday: 6-9 p.m.
- Friday: 6-9 p.m.
- Saturday: 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- Sunday: 3-8 p.m.
The fire department will also host a parade at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The parade — an 85-year tradition — will assemble in the West Boonton area and proceed down Main Street to Grant Street, to Old Boonton Road, ending at Boonton High School.
