Longtime Parsippany Crossing Guard Passes Away
Anna Baird helped children get to school safely for 50 years.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Longtime Parsippany crossing guard Anna Baird passed away on Sunday. She was 90 years old.
According to an obituary shared by the Par-Troy Funeral Home:
Anna was born and raised in Newark before moving to Lake Hiawatha in 1962.
Anna was a School Crossing Guard for 50 years for the Parsippany Troy Hills Police Department.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the District 5 Fire Department.
Anna loved baking her “Mema Cookies” and they will be truly missed in her community.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert, and son, Jack. She is survived by a son, a daughter, sister, and multiple grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
