Longtime Parsippany Pizza Shop Owner Dies

Joe Dattolo lived in East Hanover for more than four decades.

Joseph Dattolo brought happiness to many people in Parsippany by way of food.

The former East Hanover resident of 44 years died recently in his Fort Lauderdale, Florida home, according to his obituary.

Dattolo was the longtime owner of Nino’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Parsippany before retiring.

He was born in Italy before coming to America in 1952 and settling down in Brooklyn. He then moved to East Hanover, where he lived for 44 years before moving south in 2013.

Dattolo was predeceased by his wife, Anna Maria, who died in June 2005.

He is survived by a son, two daughters, and three grandchildren.
