Man Admits To Stealing Vehicle That Crashed In Parsippany

The Newark man pleaded guilty to second-degree eluding and third-degree receiving stolen property.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A Newark man admitted Wednesday to stealing a vehicle, which crashed in Parsippany. Isaac Zackery-Barnes pleaded guilty to second-degree eluding and third-degree receiving stolen property.

The charges were the result of a pursuit in September 2020 in Hanover. The vehicle crashed in Parsippany, and police caught Zackery-Barnes and two minors after a brief foot chase.

Zackery-Barnes' sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 6.
