Man Peered Into Parsippany Window, Spied On Residents: Police

The man wore a camouflage suit while standing by an open window, authorities said.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A man stood close to a Parsippany home's open window and spied on its occupants, police said. He only fled after a resident screamed, according to authorities.

The incident occurred the night of Oct. 12, according to police. But following a one-month investigation, Carlos Anchaluisa was charged Monday with one count of fourth-degree criminal trespass (peering into windows).

Residents within the Halsey Road home saw a person dressed in a military ghillie suit — a type of camouflage apparel — police said. The individual stood outside their open window, within arm's reach of the screen, according to authorities.

One resident told police she was only partially clothed. Her dog alerted her of the man outside, according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Officers in the area pulled over a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta and found Anchaluisa, 25, of Elizabeth, wearing the ghillie suit, police said. After a brief investigation, police released him from the scene and turned the incident over to the Parsippany Police Department's Investigative Division.
