Medicare, NJ SAVE Presentations To Be Held In Parsippany

Residents are invited to a free presentation on Medicare options and savings programs for seniors.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Area residents are being invited to a free presentation in Parsippany focused on Medicare information and savings programs for seniors. Norwescap RSVP will hold the Medicare Overview and NJ SAVE presentation on Wednesday, May 13, at 10 a.m. at the Parsippany Senior Center, 1130 Knoll Rd., Parsippany.

The program will cover two free resources designed to help seniors better understand Medicare benefits and find out whether they may qualify for financial assistance. The Medicare Overview portion will be presented through the SHIP program and will include information on Medicare benefits and costs.

According to the event information, topics will include Medicare Part A and Part B, Medigap, which is supplemental insurance, Prescription Drug Plans, also known as Part D, and Medicare Advantage Plans, also known as Part C. Volunteer counselors will provide free, unbiased information to help attendees understand their options.

The presentation will also include information about NJ SAVE. According to the event announcement, attendees can learn whether they may qualify for assistance through Medicare Savings Programs, PAAD, which stands for Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled, Senior Gold Prescription Discount, Utility Assistance Programs, and HAAD, or Hearing Aid Assistance to the Aged and Disabled.
