Mike Comerford: Par Hills Junior Lifts Team From Slump
Shortstop's perfect day at the plate leads to Vikings' first win.

The Parsippany Hills High School baseball team got off to a slow start this season, with losses in its first three games. But the Vikings’ explosive offense, led by junior shortstop Mike Comerford, got Par Hills on the winning track in a big way as the Vikings pounded Kittatinny High for 20 runs on Saturday.
Comerford, who head coach Ray Santana boasted about before the start of the regular season, was a key factor in the Vikings' 20-6 win, going 5-for-5 with three doubles and five RBIs.
The Par Hills junior wasn’t just a force at the plate, though, as he terrorized Kittatinny on the base paths, stealing two bases and scoring five runs.
