Mini Target Opening Pushed Back To April In Parsippany
The opening for the small-format store was originally supposed to be in March.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The small-format Target in Parsippany is now expected to open in April, the company said on their website. It was originally announced for March.
It was not immediately clear why the opening date was pushed back, or when in April it would open. Patch has reached out to Target for more information, and will update when we hear back.
The small format store will be in the Troy Hills Shopping Center, where the old Pathmark was, and will be much smaller than an average Target. The store will be about 65,100 square feet. This is on the larger side for small-format Targets (some are as small as 12,800 square feet, with many around 30,000 square feet), but still much smaller than a standard Target, which are typically around 130,000 square feet.

Shoppers can expect clothing, home decor, groceries, health and beauty, electronics, entertainment, toys and sporting goods at the new store, but will have a smaller selection in each category. The store will also offer a CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks, and Order Pickup, which allows online orders to be picked up in-store within an hour.
"The space previously occupied by Pathmark in the Troy Hills Shopping Center was the last available big block of retail space left in Parsippany. I am very pleased to welcome Target to our community," then-mayor James Barberio said in a statement when the store was announced last July. "Having a corporation that is ranked 25 in Fortune Magazine's list of 'Most Admired Companies,' providing job opportunities and filling the vacant space is a real coup for Parsippany. Our residents and neighbors will be thrilled to join me in welcoming this wonderful corporation to town."
