Morristown Edges Out Par Hills in Season Opener

Tight game goes down to the last inning.

Parsippany Hills High came up short in their season opener Monday at Morristown with the Colonials winning 3 - 2.

Par Hills  pitcher Jim Grawehr was excited to be back on the mound after missing the entire 2010 season with a shoulder injury.  "It felt good to pitch again.  It was tough not contributing from the mound last year.  I only wish we could have come away today with the win", said Grawehr.

Grawehr pitched the entire game and quickly found his groove.  He had offensive help early when Stephen Fichter walked and then stole 2nd.  Pete Milevski singled and Fichter came in for the score.  The score remained 1-1 until the 4th inning when CJ Joyce doubled.  Fichter singled to center sending Joyce home.  Morristown tied it back up in the 5th off a solo HR.  Morristown scored in the bottom of the 7th inning when a single sent in the winning run.
