PARSIPPANY, NJ — Something is brewing on Route 10. Parsippany officials approved plans for a shuttered Santander Bank to become a Dunkin' with a drive-thru.

Although the timeline wasn't immediately clear, the Dunkin' would go on 1980 Route 10. The former Santander location already has a drive-thru window, potentially making for a smoother transition.

The building is located across the street from Chick-fil-A and the Briarcliff Commons shopping center that features Kohl's, Uncle Giuseppe's and the new Clumbl Cookies, among other shops.

While the plan has been approved, the Parsippany Board of Adjustment has an agenda item to memorialize the proposal at its next meeting. The board will convene at 7 p.m. Wednesday for a special meeting before moving into the regular meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The building at 1980 Route 10 has a Morris Plains mailing address, but it falls within Parsippany borders.
