Joe Pennacchio Wins State Senate Seat In 26th District: AP

The Republican ticket holds a significant lead in the race.

NORTH JERSEY — State Senator Joe Pennacchio is poised to maintain his seat, with the Associated Press declaring him the winner of the 26th Legislative District race. His fellow Republicans running for General Assembly also hold commanding leads as of midnight.

The State Senate race pitted Pennacchio against Democratic challenger Christine Clarke. The Assembly race features Republicans Jay Webber and Christian E. Barranco against Democrats Melissa Brown Blaeuer and Pamela Fadden.
