Objection: Parsippany Council Denies Appointment of Inglesino, 3 Attorneys
Reorganization grows tense yet again when majority of governing body says no to longtime counselors.

Most municipal reorganization meetings are warm and fuzzy, celebrating the swearing in of elected officials.
Not the case in Parsippany this week.
At the township’s reorganization meeting, the council – by a vote of 3-2 – denied the appointment of township attorney John Inglesino and three other attorneys who provide regular services to the municipality, according to dailyrecord.com.

Inglesino, as he was in 2014 when the council first denied his appointment, will still serve in a holdover position.
Attorneys Michael Lavery, Stephen Trimboli, and Todd Galante all had their appointments voted down by councilmen Paul Carifi, Jr., Louis Valori, and Robert Peluso denying, the report said.

In an interview with the newspaper, Mayor James Barberio said, “My administration is reviewing the extent of the damage to Parsippany based on last night’s irresponsible actions taken by Carifi, Valori, and Peluso.”
It is now up to Barberio to present new nominations to fill the posts, which will need approval by a majority of the council.
