Par Hills Continues to Improve at Tri-Meet

In the final head-to-head competition of the season, both the girls and boys track teams from lost their tri-meet to West Morris Central and Morris Knolls at Morris Knolls High School. The boys lost 106-34 to Morris Knolls and 82-58 to West Morris Central. The girls lost to Morris Knolls, 94-36, and to West Morris Central, 76-56. The boys teams finished their season at 1-5 while the girls finished at 0-5.

VIKING OF THE MEET
Emily Muniz for the girls—was the overall winner in the discus with a throw of 109-10. She also placed second in the shot put and third in the javelin.

Rajinder Singh for the boys— was the overall winner in the 3,200-meter run and placed second in the 1,600 meters.

OTHER KEY PERFORMERS
- Megan Crowley was the overall winner in the 400-meter hurdles.
- Ellen Miller, running in the 800-meter run, placed second overall.
- Chase Boyle was the overall winner in the shot put and placed second in the discus.
- Dan Jamison was the overall winner in the javelin with a personal best for the 2011 season of 156-11.
- Erik Konol placed second in the 400-meter dash.

THEY SAID IT
“The team is performing great even though we’re a young team,” said coach Dave Albano. “I am very happy with their progress. They’re doing their very best, working hard every day.”

“We’ve had kids achieve personal records in every meet this season, so with only two seniors on the team I’m hoping for a big improvement come next year,” said coach Bob Fulton.
