Parsippany Ambulance Squad Founder, Late Assemblyman's Mother Dies at 101
Theresa Mary DeCroce was an active member of Parsippany Township for decades.

Theresa Mary DeCroce spent her life giving to her family and community, much of which took place in Parsippany.
The mother of the late New Jersey Assemblyman, Alex DeCroce, died at the age of 101, according to her obituary.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, DeCroce moved to New Jersey when she was 13. While in the Garden State, DeCroce lived in Newark, West Orange, and Parsippany before moving to Boca Raton, Florida. She came back home to Parsippany in 1985 where she remained until her death last week.

DeCroce was one of the founding members of the Parsippany Ambulance Squad, where she dedicated more than 25 years of service. She was also an active member of the Lake Parsippany Community and received a Certificate of Award for outstanding civic contribution. DeCroce was also a member of the St. Christopher Roman Catholic Church, Senior Citizen Club, and the Ladies Club.
She is predeceased by her sons Gerry, Alex, and Ronald. She is survived by her daughter, Maryanne; daughters in-law, Debra and Betty Lou; two granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
