Parsippany Approves Liquor License For Mexican-American Grill

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Township Council approved Tuesday a liquor-license transfer to a restaurant that will open in town. Milagros Mexican American Grill will receive the license for when the establishment opens at the former TGI Friday's site.

Friday's announced a permanent closure in December 2019 at its 3835 Route 46 location. The location has been vacant since.

In January, Township Council approved the transfer of the plenary retail consumption license — which allows the selling and consumption of alcohol on premises — from TGI Friday's, Inc. to 46 Park Plaza Associates, LLC. Tuesday's decision effectively transfers the license to Milagros Mexican Grill, LLC.

It wasn't immediately clear when the business might open.
