Parsippany Grad Initiated Into Prestigious Collegiate Honor Society

Swet Patel among small percentage of national inductees.

A Parsippany native and current college student has been named among the country’s elite, having been inducted into a most prestigious group.

Swet Patel, of Parsippany, was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Patel is currently studying at The College of New Jersey and pursuing a degree in Psychology.

About 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni are initiated into Phi Kappa Phi annually. Only the top 10-percent of seniors and 7.5-percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership, the society said.
