Parsippany Hills Boys Fall to Montville

Parsippany Boys Fall to Morris Hills.

A four-goal effort by Ryan O’Lear piloted the Montville ice hockey team to its fifth win of the season with a 5-1 victory over Parsippany Hills on Monday.

Shawn Rose got the Vikings out to a 1-0 lead early in the first period, before O’Lear -who scored at least one goal in each period- landed his first of the day (assisted by Kevin Thornton and Connor Devereux) with just under four minutes remaining.

The second period saw O’Lear score twice, the first a goal assisted by Nick Arlotta and Vinnie Arlotta with with 7:48 remaining, and the second an unassisted power play goal with 20 seconds remaining, surging Montville to a two-goal lead.

But O’Lear wasn’t done yet, scoring his fourth goal in the final frame (assisted by Thornton) with just under nine minutes remaining, before Vinnie Arlotta tacked on a fifth Mustang goal, scoring shorthanded with 1:19 remaining.

Montville goalie Andrew Irizarry stopped 12 shots and Brian Mitchell stopped 24 for Par Hills (2-10).

PHS Boys Still Searching for Win No. 1

A first quarter lead quickly morphed into a second quarter deficit for the Parsippany boys basketball team as Morris Hills rallied to outscore Parsippany 58-21 in the final three quarters on Thursday on its way to a 71-34 win in Parsippany.

Parsippany held a one-point lead heading into the second quarter (keyed by Leonard Lee who finished with a team high 17 points), Morris Hills promptly surged ahead going into halftime as it outscored Parsippany, 14-4, in the second quarter on its way to the blowout win.

Niko Kotoulas’ game high 24 points, along with a combined 20 points from Brian O'Neill and Esaun Mobley, proved too much for Parsippany to overcome on Monday night as the Red Hawks fell to 0-9 this season.

Lionel Chambers finished with seven points, and Sagar Patel and Max Berns each scored three for Parsippany.

Par Hills Boys Fall

The Par Hills boys basketball team fell to Kittatinny, 42-38, according to NJ.com. Par Hills sits at 3-4 this season.
