September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. And someone who gets a card could win tickets to the Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library System is getting in on the action. During September, the library system will give out stickers to those who sign up for a card and enter signees into a raffle for tickets to the Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium.

The American Library Association began Library Card Sign-Up Month in 1987 to unite libraries behind a national effort to ensure every child signs up for their own card.

Throughout the school year, public librarians and library staff will assist parents and caregivers with saving hundreds of dollars on educational resources and services for students, according to the library system.
